Annita Peeler

Executive Director

Annita has served as the Executive Director of Hickory Woods Senior Living since it’s opening in 1998. Annita is a life-long resident of Murray and is dedicated to helping families, friends, and neighbors in their decision making of whether to move their loved one into assisted living, independent living, or personal care.

Twenty-one years of serving not only Hickory Woods but the community in elder care, Annita says “I never have a day that I don’t know this is where the Lord wants me and I strive to give Him and Hickory Woods the best I have every day.”

Linda Orten

Executive Assistant

Linda is the Executive Assistant at Hickory Woods Senior Living. Linda has been with Hickory Woods for 21 years, and she was even one of the first team members hired. She has been involved in all aspects at Hickory Woods, including resident assistant, housekeeping, cooking, and ordering all the food to the office as a secretary. You may even spot her mowing the yard or coming in with her husband, the maintenance man, in the middle of the night when sprinkler or alarm problems occur!

Lana Baker, LPN

Clinical Director

Lana is the Clinical Director at The Gardens at Hickory Woods Senior Living. For over 25 years, Lana has worked in various areas of healthcare which allowed her to gain a broad perspective on various aspects of the healthcare field and to become well-rounded in the healthcare industry. She obtained her LPN license in 2009. Her heart has always had a soft spot for the elderly. She does her best to ensure that residents and their families feel at home in the memory care wing of Hickory Woods.

Jenise Howard

Activity Director

Jenise says she has been fortunate enough to be associated with Hickory Woods since 2001 when her mother-in-law lived here, and later her grandfather moved in. Jenise loved Hickory Woods so much that she officially came to work in 2008.

Jenise and her husband, who have been married for 30 years, are Murray natives. They have one son who is a Murray State University student and avid golfer.

Mitzi Parrish-Sebben

Assistant Activity Director

Mitzi is the Assistant Activity Director at Hickory Woods Senior Living and The Gardens at Hickory Woods in beautiful Murray, Kentucky. Mitzi is a life resident of Murray and Calloway County. She has been employed at Hickory Woods since May 2001 and in the activities department since 2009. She was named Hickory Woods Employee of the Year in 2009.

Mitzi married her husband, Alan, right here at Hickory Woods under our front canopy in June 2013. Mitzi knew all her Hickory Woods family could not travel to her wedding, so she brought the wedding to them. Together, she and her husband have four children. Mitzi is a Girl Scout leader, very active in her children’s school, a sports mom, loves to piece quilts, and enjoys many other crafts.
